Audio architects / musicians Dan Spier and Steve Scott spent many years in their garage studio in Staines, Middlesex, remixing, bootlegging tunes to play out to the free party masses. A lack of direction was rectified when past free party cohort and vocalist Ben McCusker (aka KRUDE / Audio Illusion) dropped into the studio and was blown away by the lawless, gritty tones bouncing off the studio walls.
Bringing with him a peerless vocal style that flies between sardonic, sarcastic social observation to raw urban prose, the Fatter Faction were formed, proper, December 2003. Their infectious, nihilistic tunes are best described as the musical equivalent of being smashed in the face. A calamity of cross-genre, distinctly British sounding tunes that stops anyone within earshot dead in their tracks. Interested?.........keep your ears to the ground... Their first release is out now..!

On the 26th of May 2006 the annual ::Industrial Funk Festival:: took place for the third time. After 2 excellent previous editions in 2004 and 2005 it was hard to think of something even more surprising or amazing, but as far as we are concerned we certainly succeeded! With Si Begg, Radioactive Man and 69DB fronting the line-up things could not really go wrong, and they didn't...!
All the musicians absolutely surpassed themselves in playing the most wicked and super funky DJ and live sets!
With the ever amazing visuals from MarCO2RO, Serotonin and Kjell who made the screens decor, the robot and the LED displays, new participants Dstruct with their light objects and the Noisejoy joystick, and the amazing analog feedback visuals laboratory from Tochnics (9 VJ's!!) the night looked an ab-so-lute treat..
And don't forget the chill-out area, where Shitcluster and Ronald van der Meijs did some amazing performances, as well as Sideshow and Noppop making sure that people could enjoy a cocktail in the most chilled-out environment.
So.. all in all it was an ab-so-lute-ly AMAZING night of music, visuals and wicked vibe...
Thanks to the entire posse for making it happen, all the ravers (you know who you are!), and of course the musicians for treating us to the best of the latest fresh sounds n beats!!!

From the "better late than never" posse...
Some photos of the Project Mayhem night!
Industrial Funk hooked up with Dutch underground tekno soundsystem ZMK on the 13th of May 2006 for an ultimate display of true party underground during 'Project Mayhem'.
The festi took place at Amsterdam North's dock NDSM and consisted of a day of bands, food, theater and performances. When nighttime fell the warehouse filled with over a whopping 3000 ravers enjoying 4 areas with Industrial Funk's area hosting almost the entire Nocturnal State posse playing, well, as you would expect, havin' it electroteknobreakbeatindustrialfunk.
The line up included: Kjell, Nurotika, Sazz, Just Q & MarCO2, Miss Louzy, Spindokter Ries and Subliminal Criminal.
The other areas were by ZMK (tekno), WirWar (dub, funk, disco) and the french 104e20 soundsystem (speedcore etc).
